The San Francisco 49ers and Cincinnati Bengals are two teams in the playoff hunt but will need every win from here on out to secure their spot.

The Bengals are arguably in the better position of the two teams coming into Sunday’s game. Cincinnati has been one of the surprise teams in the league this year, with Joe Burrow bouncing back from his ACL injury and Ja’Marr Chase quickly turning into one of the best wide receivers in the league.

Cincinnati is sporting an impressive record of 7-5, while San Francisco is sitting at .500 at 6-6. Unlike the Bengals, the 49ers are still trying to figure out the quarterback position with Trey Lance waiting in the wings and Jimmy Garoppolo seemingly playing his final games for San Francisco.

Despite the quarterback controversy in the Bay Area, San Francisco remains a force to be reckoned with and can beat any team on any given night. However, the Bengals are the better all-around squad at this point in the season.

They will look to get their eighth win on the year while inching closer to a potential AFC North title with only the Baltimore Ravens (8-4) sitting ahead of Burrow and company.

The 49ers have had some solid wins as of late by getting the best of the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings recently but are coming off a loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The Bengals haven’t faired well in their last five games, winning only two of their five contests, but a bounce-back win over San Francisco would be huge for Cincinnati.
